Historically I have kept my thoughts about the inequality and the systemic racism against the African American community to my immediate family.  I believed that it was better to be an example of inclusiveness, kindness and respect for others through my actions rather than through words.

Unfortunately, I was wrong.

None of us can afford to be silent about injustice and inequality in the communities in which we live.  Each of us has the responsibility to speak out against the senseless violence and discrimination that so many people in our country face every day.

It is up to each of us to take on the responsibility to create a kinder and more just world that values the diversity of our people.

As an organization, the Allegiance Group + Pursuant is committed to fairness and equality.  We are committed to the belief that through hard work and gratitude for the opportunities we have, we can create opportunities for others.

We believe that every person has the right to live without fear of violence or inequality for themselves and their families.  We believe that through a commitment to equal treatment for all and to taking care of each other we can help our communities move forward to a better world.

We live in a difficult time, and it is easy to be overwhelmed by the challenges of living in a global pandemic, an uncertain economic environment and the voices of divisiveness in our country.

But I am committed to being a better listener. I am committed to understanding the realities of the difficulties that so many others live with every day.  I am committed to taking action to make our organization and the communities we live in to be a more inclusive and kinder place.
